How to Make Cookie Monster Donuts
Below, find the best donuts your Sesame Street-loving kiddo will adore!
To make this easy to follow, I divided the following ingredients and instructions into three sections: donuts, icing, and decorations.
Makes 15 doughnuts
Donut ingredients:
- 1 C flour
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 C + 1 1/2 tbsp whole milk
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 C crushed Oreos
Vanilla doughnut icing ingredients:
- 4 C powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp clear corn syrup
- 1/2 C whole milk
- 1 tsp clear vanilla extract
- Blue gel food coloring
Decorating ingredients:
- 1 C crushed Oreos
1 container of large edible eyes
Donut Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray a doughnut baking pan with baking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter, and vanilla extract
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until well combined

Mix in the crushed Oreos

Spoon batter into doughnut pan and bake for 10 minutes

Remove from oven and allow to cool for 6 minutes before removing and placing the doughnuts onto a wire rack
Repeat steps until all batter is used
Icing Instructions:
- Using a standing mixer, combine the powdered sugar, corn syrup, milk, and vanilla extract and mix on medium to high speed until smooth and thick
- Mix in a few drops of blue gel food coloring
Decorating Instructions:
- Place the doughnuts onto a wire rack placed on top of a larger cookie sheet
- Pour the glaze over the doughnuts
- Allow doughnuts to sit for 5 minutes
- Sprinkle crushed oreo’s onto the bottom right side of the doughnut
- Place 2 eyes on the top center of the doughnuts
- Allow doughnuts to completely dry before enjoying!
